The Joint Steering Committee for Lakeside Discovery LLC, consisting of three voting members from Northwestern University and three from Deerfield Management, reviews and selects proposals from Northwestern investigators to advance as drug discovery projects. The following projects have been selected and admitted to Lakeside Discovery:

Results from Fall 2018 Proposal Reviews:

• Elizabeth McNally, Ward Professor and Director Center for Genetic Medicine and Alexis Demonbreun, Research Assistant Professor at the School of Pharmacology, Feinberg School of Medicine will co-lead a multi-year project to advance pharmaceuticals for the treatment of muscular dystrophies.
• Ali Shilatifard, Chairperson of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics, Feinberg School of Medicine will lead a multi-year project to advance pharmaceuticals for the treatment of cancers.
